We recently downsized 1,200 square feet but didn't downsize our "things." Jen helped us organize, label and update our entire garage so everything was in quick and easy reach, including our emergency boxes. This proved to be critical as on October 22, 2007, when we were quickly evacuated along with thousands of others due to the devastating San Diego fires. Because we were organized and had our supplies readily available we were able to pack up and evacuate quickly. I had enough water, masks, and emergency supplies to help 8 others.
